Book Launch, Virtual Virus Edition
On 2nd April 2020, Andy Griffee’s brilliant new novel, RIVER RATS was published. This is Book 2 in the Johnson & Wilde crime mystery series and we’d planned a wonderful launch party with Mr B’s Emporium, an independent bookseller in Bath, where this novel is set. Because the COVID-19 pandemic has put the UK into lockdown, we needed to change plans rapidly.
Not to be outdone by physical limitations, we decided to celebrate with a ‘virtual launch party’ on Facebook Live. Author Andy Griffee was dressed splendidly for the occasion, with a chilled gin ‘quarantini’ on hand, a fabulously delivered speech, cameos from his wife and dogs (including Eddie, whose namesake features in the novels) and a Q&A from the audience. Even if we couldn’t all be together in person, it was an extremely entertaining occasion. Watch it again here for all the fun.
